Profile: Full
Powstanie, a brand built by the team at Crowned Heads and produced at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, has developed a reputation for crafting some of the most visually striking and technically demanding cigars in the premium market. The War Bear series is their most ambitious expression of that philosophy: a large format barber pole perfecto that demands skill to roll, commands attention in the hand, and delivers a smoking experience worthy of its presentation.
The War Bear 250th American Anniversary is this year's edition, released in honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. Functionally identical to the 2025 War Bear, this release comes in specially designed boxes that pay tribute to the milestone anniversary. The cigar itself is a 5⅞ x 60 perfecto featuring an intricate barber pole construction, two wrappers twisted together in a spiral: a silky Ecuadorian Habano and a dark, earthy Mexican San Andrés. Beneath them, an Indonesian binder and a blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers deliver a complex, full bodied experience with notes of dark leather, espresso, toasted cedar, dark chocolate, and a subtle sweetness from the San Andrés that carries through to a long, satisfying finish.
The presentation is extraordinary. Each of the 250 boxes features a unique Cerakote shell with its own individual finish, meaning no two boxes are identical. This is not a product you smoke and forget. It is a collector's piece from the first moment you hold the box.
Limited to just 250 boxes of 8 cigars worldwide. One of the rarest releases of 2026.
