Privada Storytelling
Polpetta Broadleaf Petit Puros is a bold little cigar with a big reputation. Originally handed out as a special event smoke, Steve Saka’s creation proved so flavorful that it stepped out of the shadows and into regular production. The name Polpetta — Italian for “meatball” — perfectly captures the personality of this petite powerhouse: compact, dense, and packed with rich flavor.
Made in Nicaragua with a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper and a Mexican San Andrés binder, this blend uses a curated mix of filler cuts from some of Dunbarton’s most sought-after cigars. This isn’t random trimming. It’s a deliberately crafted expression that brings together strength, depth, and a surprising richness for a short smoke.
Each puff feels intentional, offering classic Dunbarton intensity in a quick but memorable package. This is the cigar you reach for when you want a bold experience without the time commitment of a larger format.
Flavor Journey
On first light, expect assertive earth and espresso with a hint of black pepper that instantly grabs your attention. Warm toasted oak and mineral notes ground the profile, while subtle cocoa and sweetness rise to balance the spice. Despite its petite 4 x 48 size, the cigar delivers a full-flavored progression that feels rich and complete from start to finish.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Polpetta is the kind of boutique innovation Privada members appreciate: a cigar that defies its size, packs flavorful complexity, and speaks to craftsmanship rooted in quality rather than marketing. It carries Dunbarton’s signature layered profile into a format you can enjoy anytime, with construction and character that stand up to longer counterparts.
Production Notes
Handmade in Nicaragua with a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder. Polpetta combines tripa from Dunbarton classics like Mi Querida, Mi Querida Triqui Traca, and Umbagog with additional long filler to maintain consistency and depth of flavor despite the small format.
