This fabulous Super Tuscan hails from the highly sought-after Bolgheri wine-growing area. Orma, a seductive blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, is a darling among critics. This Super Tuscan possesses the perfect combination of power and seductive finesse – as many great Bordeaux blends often do - yet captures the distinctive herbaceous aromas of Italian terroir.
Super Tuscans are the perfect wines for fans of international varietals who are looking to experiment and try something creative and new. Orma is the quintessential wine for discovering the enviable terroir of Bolgheri, a region known as the jewel of Tuscany.
97 Points - James Suckling: This is a tight and powerful Orma with solid tannins that beautifully frame the fruit in the wine. Full-bodied and focused with intense structure and fruit character. Perhaps the best Orma ever.
95 Points - Robert Parker: A blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Orma opens to a soothing display of ripe fruit with blackberry, candied cherry, spice, white pepper and even a speck of red chili flake. The mouthfeel is round and soft with a pop of sour cherry. The vineyards are planted in soils rich in pebbles and clay with a little sand at 60 meters above sea level.
