Discover the exotic and intricate flavors of the Plantation Single Cask El Salvador 2015 Rum, a rare and limited edition offering from the renowned Plantation Rum series. This single cask rum, distilled at the Ingenio La Cabana Distillery, offers a unique journey through its diverse aging process and exceptional ingredient profile, setting it apart as a collector's gem.
Exquisite Layering of Flavors and Maturation:
- The Plantation Single Cask El Salvador 2015 Rum has been carefully aged in a tri-layered process: initially in tropical bourbon casks for five years, followed by two years in continental Ferrand casks, and a final year in a unique red Pineau des Charentes wine cask. This meticulous aging strategy enriches the rum with a sophisticated complexity and unparalleled depth.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The aroma is rich and complex, featuring an enticing blend of cappuccino, hazelnut, and lemongrass, with delicate hints of strawberry and tonka bean adding to its allure.
- Palate: On the palate, this rum is delightfully sweet and refined, showcasing flavors of dulce de leche and pistachio, alongside darker notes of dark chocolate and prune. Tropical fruit, raspberry, and a subtle peppery spice weave together to create a beautifully balanced tasting experience.
- Finish: The finish is long and satisfying, with the layered flavors lingering on the palate, encouraging another sip.
This limited edition rum is not only a testament to the skilled craftsmanship of Plantation Rum but also an invitation to explore the rich tapestry of flavors that can only be achieved through diverse and innovative aging processes.
