🏆 Critical Acclaim: 92 pts Robert Parker (Wine Advocate)
Kosta Browne Pinot Noir | Santa Rita Hills 2018 | 750ml | 14.2% ABV
Kosta Browne is one of California's most coveted Pinot Noir producers, with a mailing list that stretches for years. The 2018 Santa Rita Hills bottling captures the unique cool-climate intensity of this remarkable appellation in Santa Barbara County.
Aromas of dark cherry, crushed rose petal, and baking spice rise from the glass, followed by a palate of extraordinary depth — layers of black raspberry, pomegranate, and cola are framed by fine-grained tannins and bright coastal acidity. The finish is long, perfumed, and utterly captivating.
For those who worship at the altar of great Pinot Noir, this is a bucket-list bottle. The 2018 vintage delivered outstanding quality across California, and Kosta Browne captured it brilliantly.
Pair with: Roasted duck breast, mushroom risotto, or pan-seared salmon with beet reduction.
