Perfect Ted Matcha Powder in Vanilla Bean is a ceremonial-grade, single-origin Uji matcha finely milled into a fragrant green tea powder that adds smooth, natural energy and a gentle vanilla note to drinks and recipes.
Harvested from the renowned tea fields of Uji, Japan, this 75 g tin delivers about 30 servings of shade-grown, stone-ground matcha blended with natural vanilla bean flavor. The powder is intended for everyday use — from classic whisked teas to lattes, smoothies, and baking — offering the vivid color, umami depth, and mild sweetness expected of ceremonial matcha. It’s packaged to preserve freshness and crafted to suit home baristas, cooks, and matcha enthusiasts who value clean ingredients and authentic origin.
How does this matcha differ from standard green tea powders?
This is ceremonial-grade matcha, meaning the leaves are shade-grown, picked from the top of the plant, and ground into an ultra-fine powder for a concentrated flavor and texture. The vanilla bean infusion adds a subtle floral-sweet layer without masking the classic matcha character.
- Single-origin Uji sourcing for consistent terroir and quality
- Shade-grown leaves yield richer amino acids and a creamier mouthfeel
- Stone-ground texture ensures smooth whisking and no grit
- Natural vanilla bean flavor for a balanced sweet note
What are the best ways to use Perfect Ted Vanilla Bean Matcha?
Matcha is versatile and performs well in hot or cold preparations as well as in cooking. Use small measured scoops for traditional tea, or blend into beverages and recipes for color, flavor, and a mild energy lift.
- Whisk with hot water for a classic ceremonial-style scoop
- Froth with milk or plant-based alternatives for lattes and cappuccinos
- Blend into smoothies, protein shakes, and iced drinks for color and flavor
- Fold into baked goods, pancakes, and dessert batters for natural green coloring
How should I store and measure the matcha for best results?
Keep the tin sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from light and strong odors to maintain fragrance and color. Measure with a small spoon or gram scale to control strength — typically about 1 to 2 grams per serving depending on taste.
- Store sealed in the original tin or an airtight container
- Avoid heat, humidity, and prolonged light exposure
- Use 1 g for a lighter drink, 2 g for fuller flavor (roughly 1/2 to 1 teaspoon)
- Consume within weeks of opening for peak aroma and vibrant color
What does "ceremonial grade" mean and does vanilla change the grade?
Ceremonial grade refers to leaf selection and processing — young, tender leaves shaded before harvest and finely ground for delicate flavor and texture. The addition of vanilla bean flavor is purely to enhance the taste profile and does not alter the sourcing or milling standards of the matcha itself.
- Leaves come from first harvest for a smoother, less bitter profile
- Fine milling produces a silky powder ideal for whisking
- Vanilla bean flavoring is natural and meant to complement, not cover, the matcha
- Product remains vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO
Who is this for? Perfect Ted Matcha Powder Vanilla Bean is aimed at people who want an authentic Uji matcha with a gentle vanilla twist — home baristas crafting lattes, cooks experimenting with green-tea desserts, and anyone seeking a clean, versatile powder for daily use. It fits those who prioritize single-origin sourcing, ceremonial production methods, and natural ingredients without artificial additives.
