Privada Storytelling: Understated, Unreleased, Unforgettable
The PB‑97 Natural is one of those cigars that was never meant to be everywhere. A product of the elusive Padrón Black Series, it first appeared at the 2023 PCA Trade Show with little fanfare—but those who knew, knew. A rare figurado wrapped in natural elegance, the PB‑97 is a collector’s smoke disguised as a trade show exclusive.
Its shape hints at the legacy of the 1926 line, but the blend speaks in a different tone. Lighter in hue but not in body, this cigar wears a perfectly box-pressed sun-grown natural wrapper—clean, with minimal oil and a soft tooth. The tobaccos within are all Nicaraguan, grown and aged exclusively by the Padrón family for roughly five years before being deemed worthy of the roll.
Flavor-wise? It’s classic Padrón DNA... but in a new dialect. Expect cream and cinnamon early, followed by layers of hay, sweet bread, graham cracker, and espresso. There’s a touch of lime zest on the finish—an acidic brightness that cuts through the earth and spice, keeping your palate awake. Midway through, a soft wave of cedar and pepper appears, reminding you this is still Padrón: patient, potent, proud.
Why It’s Privada-Worthy
You don’t walk into a shop and stumble across the PB‑97 Natural—you have to know what to ask for. That’s why it belongs here. At Privada, we hunt cigars with mystery, purpose, and legacy. This isn’t a new blend cranked out for buzz. It’s a careful experiment from a company that rarely deviates from its core lines.
This cigar doesn’t demand attention. It earns it. One puff at a time.
