Osborne Pedro Ximenez 1827 Sherry is a very sweet fortified wine from Jerez, Spain, made from Pedro Ximenez grapes. Osborne exposes the harvested bunches to the sun before gentle pressing and fortification, then ages the wine for an average of six years through the traditional solera-and-criadera system in American oak barrels. The bottle contains 750ml at 17% ABV / 34 proof and carries the Jerez-Xeres-Sherry designation.
Deep mahogany in color, this dense Pedro Ximenez is described by Osborne as aromatic, perfumed, and deeply flavorful. The house emphasizes its pronounced sweetness, while exact-product notes add raisin character that reflects the sun-concentrated grape style. Serve it between 12°C and 16°C after a meal, either on its own or alongside sweets. Osborne also recommends ice cream and blue cheese, whose richness and salt can complement the wine’s concentrated profile. The white-and-gold label, black bull emblem, and “1827 Very Sweet” wording clearly distinguish the bottle.
