95 points, Cigar Snob
92 points, Cigar Aficionado
The Oliva Serie V Melanio Torpedo is not just a cigar; it is a globally recognised icon, having been named the Cigar Aficionado No. 1 Cigar of the Year in 2014. This magnificent vitola maintains the potent Ligero core from the original Serie V, but is elevated by a silky, prized Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. The tapered Torpedo shape is crucial, concentrating the smoke and ensuring a cool, flavour-intense draw.
The blend delivers concentrated notes of caramel, sweet coffee, and rich leather, with a subtle earthiness that perfectly balances the Full-bodied strength. This award-winning size provides a smooth yet powerful smoking experience, making it a must-have for serious collectors.
