The Oliva Serie V Melanio Figurado stands as the crown jewel of the Melanio line, world-renowned for securing the coveted #1 Cigar of the Year award by Cigar Aficionado. Crafted to honour founder Melanio Oliva, this distinctive 6½-inch by 52 ring gauge vitola features an elegant tapered figurado shape combined with a signature soft box press. The narrowed head and foot concentrate airflow and smoke output, delivering a dynamic, expanding crescendo of flavours as the burn transitions into the widest portion of the body.
The structural and tobacco specifications of this exact vitola are masterfully calculated to deliver a cool burn and rich smoke volume across a 60-to-75-minute session. Encased in an oily, sun-grown Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, the cigar utilises a rich Nicaraguan binder to enclose an aged core of select Nicaraguan long-fillers from the Jalapa Valley. Hand-rolled by master torcedores at the TABOLISA factory in Estelí, this 6½″ x 52 box-pressed figurado format guarantees exceptional structural integrity, an effortless draw, a sharp burn line, and a consistent delivery of multi-layered, creamy complexity.
