Old Louisville Whiskey Co. 11 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon hails from Kentucky, crafted from a mashbill of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% barley. Distilled in May 2013 and bottled in November 2024 at 112 proof, this bourbon is a showcase of patience and precision. The nose greets you with bold baking spices, cherry jubilee, and golden raisin warmth, hinting at the layered complexity to come. On the palate, toasted coconut and spicy plums mingle with pecans, black pepper, and gentle oak, creating a rich interplay that balances sweetness with structure.
The finish lingers with toasted almonds, black tea, and the sunny brightness of peach sun tea, transitioning into subtle notes of cedar box and aged tobacco. Flavors of toffee, dried fig, and custard weave seamlessly with hints of cloves and herbal nuances, making each sip a sophisticated journey. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to reveal its full character, this bourbon delivers a rare depth and elegance that reflects its eleven years of careful aging and meticulous craftsmanship.
