Product Description:
Introducing our second Cat's Eye Obtainium 15 Years Single Barrel Light Whiskey selection, an exemplar of meticulous curation and craftsmanship. This unique expression tells a story of both tradition and innovation. Originating from Cat’s Eye Distillery, a renowned craft distillery out of Iowa, this whiskey exemplifies their "Obtainium" moniker, symbolizing their pursuit to obtain and bottle superior whiskies from around the globe. Their vast array of sourced spirits spans continents, encapsulating the essence of the US, Europe, Canada, and The Caribbean.
Bit Of History:
Steeped in history, the Light Whiskey category was birthed during the 60s and 70s, a challenging era for traditional American whiskies. Created in 1968, the category's unique distillation and maturation process distinguishes it from its Bourbon counterpart, employing used casks for aging and a distinct proof range during distillation.
Tasting Notes:
Upon the first whiff, indulge in abundant notes of rich vanilla, painting an image of creaminess. Transitioning to the palate, the experience is nothing short of dynamism. Envision a strawberry cookie amplified, inundated with luscious icing. The experience crescendos with an explosion of flavors, leading to a prolonged finish dominated by hints of delectable butterscotch.
