This crisp craft cider originates from Canada, specifically from British Columbia, where it is brewed in Kelowna. The brand, owned by Andrew Peller Limited, pays homage to a historical period in Halifax when locals restricted boat traffic on Sundays to ensure time was spent with family and friends. The cidery follows a philosophy of being present in the moment and crafting beverages that are 'close to home' by using 100 per cent locally sourced fruit.
The BC Original Apple Cider is a premium craft beverage made from 100 per cent British Columbia-grown apples, with the McIntosh variety making up the majority of the blend. It displays a clear, pale golden colour with fine, delicate bubbles. The nose features fresh aromas of orchard apples, citrus, and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the cider is light-bodied and off-dry, delivering authentic juicy apple flavours balanced by a touch of tartness and subtle hops added to enhance the profile. It is characterized by its refreshing, easy-drinking nature and a clean, bright apple finish. The alcohol by volume (ABV) is 5.0 per cent.
