The My Father Blue Honduras Toro Gordo amplifies the blend’s tobacco complexity with its generous 6" × 60 format. Inside, a bold mix of Honduran and Nicaraguan long-fillers is layered to create a multifaceted flavor profile. The Honduran tobaccos add earthy ruggedness and herbal depth, while the Nicaraguan ligero contributes strength, spice, and a rich core of dark cocoa and espresso. These filler tobaccos are harmonized with a Nicaraguan binder chosen for its sweetness and burn stability, then wrapped in a thick, oily Honduran Habano wrapper that adds body and aroma.
The Toro Gordo opens with robust flavors of black pepper, earth, leather, and roasted coffee, thanks to the dense ligero content in the filler. As the cigar warms, secondary notes of oak, dark chocolate, toasted bread, and molasses sweetness begin to emerge, showcasing how the larger ring gauge allows the tobaccos to burn cool and slow. The wrapper contributes a savory, slightly rustic character that keeps the profile engaging throughout the long smoke.
Construction quality is top-tier — the thicker gauge ensures an exceptionally cool burn and massive smoke production. The draw is smooth and open, allowing the blend’s strength and sweetness to remain in perfect harmony. Smokers who enjoy long, slow-burning cigars will find the Toro Gordo particularly rewarding, as the tobacco layers reveal themselves gradually.
As part of the prestigious My Father portfolio, the Blue Honduras Toro Gordo carries the García family's signature blending style: rich body, layered spice, immaculate construction, and tobaccos sourced from some of the best fields in Honduras and Nicaragua. This cigar is bold, refined, and built for enthusiasts who enjoy a full, evolving smoking experience.
