Mulline Portarlington Chardonnay
This Chardonnay is sourced from Nurringa Park Vineyard on the Bellarine Peninsula, just one kilometre from the coast. Mulline Vintners, founded by Ben Mullen and Ben Hine, focus on small-batch wines that highlight Geelong’s subregional diversity.
Fruit is handpicked and wild fermented with full solids, then aged in French oak for eight months. Partial malolactic fermentation adds creamy texture, while the coastal site brings freshness and minerality. The wine is vegan-friendly and made from organically farmed grapes. It is savoury, medium-bodied and built to reflect its maritime terroir.
- Opens with citrus, sea spray and subtle oak spice.
- The palate shows white peach, orange blossom and cinnamon with smooth texture and bright acidity.
- Finishes clean and mineral with a chalky edge and lingering citrus peel.
Pairs well with seafood, chicken and pork dishes such as grilled lobster, roasted chicken and lightly spiced pork loin.
