Moss Wood Amy's Cabernet Blend
A finely judged Margaret River red that combines generosity of fruit with classic Cabernet structure. Produced in a warm, low-yielding season, the wine shows both concentration and purity, with careful oak handling ensuring the focus remains on fruit expression and balance rather than extraction or excess weight.
Built in the house style of Moss Wood, this is a wine that delivers immediate appeal while retaining the framework for medium-term cellaring. It sits comfortably between richness and restraint, offering both drinkability and depth.
- Deep brick-red with bright, youthful clarity. Lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and plum, supported by violet, dark chocolate and subtle liquorice. Cedar, spice and faint earthy tones add complexity and savoury detail.
- Medium to full-bodied, showing ripe black fruit and blueberry flavours over a structured core. The palate is generous yet focused, with fine, grainy tannins providing grip and shape. Balanced acidity keeps the wine fresh and energetic through the mid-palate.
- Long and slightly savoury, with lingering dark fruit, cocoa and a gentle earthy edge.
Best served with roast lamb, grilled beef, mushroom dishes or hard, mature cheeses.
