Moonbroch Glen Keith 1998 26 Year Old is a single cask independent bottling released by the Alberta-based independent bottler Moonbroch. Distilled in 1998 at the Glen Keith Distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland—renowned for its light, fruity, and sweet ester-rich spirit—this expression was matured for 26 years before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 51.8% ABV without chill filtration or added color.
Food Pairing: Roasted pork with apple sauce, creamy cheeses like Brie or Camembert, shortbread, lemon tart, and poached pears.
Tasting Notes : Warm golden amber in color. Offers a rich, smooth, and velvety mouthfeel on the palate.
Nose : Bright orchard fruits including green apples and pears, balanced by floral notes, sweet honey, vanilla custard, and gentle oak spice.
Palate : Smooth and complex with flavors of ripe peaches, sweet malt, honeyed cereal, vanilla, light citrus, and refined baking spices.
Finish : Long, elegant, and warming, featuring lingering notes of sweet malt, gentle oak spice, vanilla, and soft fruitiness.
Serve : Best enjoyed neat in a Glencairn glass at room temperature, or with a few drops of pure water to unlock the fruit and oak layers.
