Millstone Peated PX Single Cask Canadian Release 5 is a Dutch peated single malt whisky from Zuidam Distillers, bottled exclusively for the Canadian market as the fifth release in this limited single-cask series. Bottled at a powerful 54.12% ABV, it brings together smoky malt character and rich Pedro Ximénez-influenced depth, creating an intense style built around peat smoke, dark fruit, malt sweetness and warming spice.
Food Pairing: Pair with smoked brisket, barbecued beef, aged Gouda, blue cheese, roasted nuts, dark chocolate or dried-fruit desserts.
Tasting Notes: Rich and powerful, balancing earthy peat smoke with dark dried fruit, caramelized sweetness, chocolate, warming spice and toasted malt.
Nose: Aromatic peat smoke leads into raisins and dark dried fruit, with toasted malt, caramel, cocoa and warming spice.
Palate: Full-bodied and concentrated, showing smoky malt, dried fruit and dark chocolate alongside caramelized sweetness, baking spices and structured oak.
Finish: Long, warming and smoky, with lingering dark fruit, malt sweetness, spice and drying oak.
