The Elements Red Wine Cask by Milk & Honey is a beautifully crafted Israeli single-malt whisky that introduces a savoury-fruity sophistication through red-wine-cask influence. It strikes a fine balance between elegance and distinctiveness—ideal for those seeking something beyond the usual bourbon or sherry-finished malt.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced by the Milk & Honey Distillery in Tel Aviv, this single-malt whisky begins with 100% malted barley, double-distilled in copper pot stills. It is matured first in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in ex-red-wine casks sourced from Israel’s local wineries. The warm Mediterranean climate accelerates maturation and imbues the spirit with character shaped by regional terroir. The whisky is certified kosher, bottled at 46 % ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
Critics Reviews
Reviewers describe it as “like a meal in a glass rather than a dessert whisky” because of its savoury red-wine barrel notes and restrained sweetness. Others highlight a floral, silky palate with pleasant spice and a character distinct from typical bourbon-aged whiskies.
