Speyside Peat Meets Sherry Richness
Meikle Toir — Scots Gaelic for "big peat" — is GlenAllachie's boldly peated Speyside expression, a whisky that challenges the assumption that Speyside and smoke don't belong together. The Sherry One is the range's most indulgent bottling: a 5-year-old peated single malt finished in sherry casks, where Billy Walker's legendary cask expertise transforms youthful peat smoke into something rich, layered, and deeply satisfying. The result is a whisky that is simultaneously bold and sweet — Speyside smoke at its most compelling.
- Nose: Inviting and complex — peat smoke and sherry sweetness intertwine with dark fruit, vanilla, and a warming spice that speaks to the quality of the cask selection
- Palate: Rich and layered — dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a building peat smoke with a velvety sherry sweetness and warming spice that builds beautifully across the palate
- Finish: Long and satisfying with lingering smoke, dark fruit, and a clean, sherry-warmed fade
