Matilde Serena cigars are the mildest selection in the José Seijas stable. The eye-catching aqua & gold bands are a real standout and surround a well-balanced blend of perfectly-aged Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, Dominican binder, and a golden Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The smoke is ultra creamy, mild-plus to medium in body, and strikingly complex, issuing a mix of earth, nuts, cocoa, espresso, oak, citrus, sweet tobacco, and pleasant floral notes.
Matilde Serena is presented in boxes of 20 cigars and flawlessly handcrafted in four popular shapes: Corona, Robusto, a 54-ring Toro Bravo, and a 60-ring "Grande." Plus, for the level of quality you're getting - and it's up there with many of the best luxury cigars - the price is very reasonable.
This selection is ideal for new cigar smokers who aren't ready for a stronger smoke but want to know how a more complex cigar tastes. For that matter, seasoned smokers should have a ball with this cigar, especially as a "first cigar of the day" smoke. In Spanish, "serena" is synonymous with "calmness," "relaxation," and "tranquility," and isn't that what enjoying a great cigar is really all about? Discover the taste created by one of the world's most respected cigar masters, José Seijas, by adding a box of Matilde Serena to your premium collection.
