Marie Brizard Anisette Liqueur 750ml is a French anise liqueur made from Mediterranean green anise and a proprietary combination of eleven plants and spices. The house describes the recipe as unique and unchanged, built to intensify the freshness of the anise rather than obscure it. This exact U.S. unit is a single 750ml bottle at 25% ABV / 50 proof, with the size, strength, and consumer UPC corroborated by a state control-board record. The crystal-clear liquid and current bottle presentation agree with the producer’s exact Anisette page.
Marie Brizard describes the aroma as distinctly green anise and the flavor as sweet, fresh, and slightly acidic. That focused profile gives the liqueur a direct botanical character while the wider plant-and-spice recipe adds structure behind the leading anise note. The producer recommends enjoying it straight or over ice; it can also be lengthened with water and a dash of lemon. Its clear appearance, sweet character, slight acidity, and 25% ABV place it firmly in the classic anisette style. Each suggested serve keeps the Mediterranean green-anise profile at the center while allowing the eleven-plant-and-spice recipe to remain part of the liqueur’s aromatic structure.
