Manna Pro Goat Kid Milk Replacer with Opti-Gut is a powdered, easy-to-mix formula that supplies balanced protein, fat, vitamins and probiotics to support healthy growth and digestion in newborn and young goat kids.
Designed to mirror many nutritional aspects of doe's milk, this 4 lb bag supplies a concentrated, shelf-stable feeding option for bottle-fed or supplemental kids. The formula blends quickly with warm water and contains a targeted probiotic/prebiotic blend called Opti-Gut to help maintain gut balance while providing 23% all-milk protein and 26% fat for energy and tissue development. Farmers, hobbyists, and breeders use it when maternal milk is insufficient or when controlled feeding ensures consistent nutrition and growth.
How does this milk replacer support digestion in young goat kids?
Opti-Gut combines probiotics and prebiotics to encourage a balanced intestinal environment during early life stages. A stable gut flora helps efficient nutrient absorption and can reduce common digestive upsets as kids transition from colostrum to milk replacer.
- Contains a probiotic/prebiotic blend formulated for kid digestion
- Supports nutrient uptake for steady weight gain
- Helps ease the change from doe’s milk to powdered feed
What are the key nutritional features and how do they affect growth?
This replacer delivers concentrated protein and fat levels aligned with the requirements of growing kids. Protein supports muscle development while higher fat supplies calories for energy and thermoregulation in cold weather or during rapid growth phases.
- 23% all-milk protein to support tissue and muscle development
- 26% fat for sustained energy and healthy weight gain
- Fortified with essential vitamins and minerals for bone and metabolic support
How easy is it to prepare and use on the farm?
Mixing is quick: dissolve the powder in warm water for a smooth, lump-free feed that accepts into standard bottles and feeding systems. The powder stores well unopened, and the 4 lb bag size balances shelf life with enough servings for small herds or multiple litters.
- Dissolves rapidly for no-fuss bottle or bucket feeding
- Consistent mix helps predictable intake and portioning
- Convenient 4 lb size for hobby farms and breeders
When should I switch or supplement with this replacer?
Introduce the replacer after the initial colostrum period or when maternal milk is insufficient, following proper colostrum management for immunity. Use it through weaning as directed, adjusting volumes by age and condition to maintain healthy growth rates.
- Begin after colostrum has been received and absorbed
- Feed through the weaning period per feeding guidelines
- Adjust concentration and frequency with age and veterinarian advice
