Hailing from France, this Bourgogne Rouge originates in the iconic Burgundy region, renowned for its limestone-rich soils and centuries-old winemaking traditions. Maison Perron De Mypont is a family-owned domaine dedicated to producing expressive wines that showcase the purity and elegance of Pinot Noir. Rooted in a philosophy of minimal intervention and terroir transparency, the winery blends tradition with a modern sensibility to craft wines of finesse and authenticity.
Wine Description
The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge opens with a bright ruby hue, signalling freshness and vitality. On the nose, aromas of wild cherry, crushed raspberry, and subtle violet intertwine with earthy undertones and a hint of spice. The palate is lively and well-structured, offering flavours of red berries, cranberry, and a touch of savoury forest floor. Light to medium-bodied, the wine is balanced by refreshing acidity and fine tannins that lead into a lingering, elegant finish. Composed entirely of Pinot Noir, this vintage is best enjoyed young to fully appreciate its vibrant fruit profile but will continue to evolve gracefully over the next 3–5 years.
Food Pairing
This Pinot Noir pairs beautifully with herb-roasted chicken, mushroom risotto, or grilled salmon. Its bright acidity and silky texture also make it a lovely companion to duck confit or soft cheeses like brie. A perfect match to enhance the wine’s complexity.
