Louis Roederer Cristal 2002 Orfèvres Gold Medallion Champagne 3L is a Jeroboam-scale presentation of the 2002 Cristal vintage from Champagne, France. The 3-liter bottle is enclosed in handcrafted gold openwork and paired with its fitted gold presentation box. Louis Roederer created this Orfèvres edition only in Jeroboam format; the lattice uses seven meters of brass strip plated in 24-carat gold, joined at 158 silver soldering points by two master goldsmiths over four days. This exact 2002 special-edition unit is bottled at 12% ABV / 24 proof.
The house describes the wine as precise, silky, and harmonious, with a powerful body held in pure balance. Its profile brings together sweet flowers, cocoa, finely roasted hazelnut, and candied citrus, followed by ripe fruit, red fruit, white chocolate, caramel, and pastry notes. The open lattice is not a printed bottle motif but part of the physical Orfèvres presentation, making the bottle and matching box essential components of this sale unit. The 3L format equals four standard 750ml bottles and should be served with the same careful chilling and glassware used for vintage Champagne.
