This powerfully structured, rich-fruited wine offers deep, layered berry and oak aromas and flavors, and a persistent finish. It should be held for 5 years in bottle before being opened, and will develop for 15 to 20 years in the cellar.
Serve with roasts or highly seasoned meats, game and most cheeses.
94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
From a 1.2-hectare parcel that reliably produces one of Jadot's very finest reds, the 2017 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) unfurls in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, forest floor, dried flowers and smoky new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, beautifully satiny and layered, with impressive concentration and depth at the core, integrated tannins and a long, expansive finish. This is a terrific Corton Pougets that is well worth seeking out.
