Los Sundays Reposado starts with the brand’s own blanco. Its agave is 100% Blue Weber, and it comes from Jalisco’s highlands as well as its lowlands. The agave is cooked in brick ovens and crushed with a roller mill. Los Sundays leans on sustainable farming and traditional methods, and says the tequila is gluten and sugar free.
The blanco then rests for just under twelve months in used American oak. Those barrels once held whiskey in Tennessee. That long rest sits close to añejo territory. The oak shows up clearly, but the agave still leads.
The nose opens with vanilla bean and roasted agave. On the palate you’ll taste more vanilla, caramelized stone fruit and a little black pepper. The finish is warm and rounded, with roasted agave at the end.
Los Sundays has collected international awards from Gold and Double Gold up to Platinum. The brand calls this reposado award-winning, though it doesn’t list each medal.
