Since 1620, Château de Pennautier has been at the center of Languedoc wines. Twelve generations in the family have been producing exceptional wines. Starting in 1987, Nicolas de Lorgeril and his wife, Miren de Saint Chamas have grown Château de Pennautier beyond its historic estate. The Company now owns 6 estates, covering 250 hectares of vines. These properties represent the most beautiful terroirs of the Languedoc and Roussillon
Respect for the land and the vines makes it possible to reveal the varied and complex expression of the grape varieties, the terroirs, and to preserve their authenticity, excellence, and elegance. By choosing to adapt the wine-making processes to the lifecycle of the vine, and by favouring gentle vinification which produces the most complex aromas, Château de Pennautier reveal their know-how with wines from the most beautiful AOCs of Languedoc: Cabardès, Corbières, Côtes du Roussillon , Côtes du Roussillon Villages, Faugères, Languedoc, Minervois, Minervois la Livinière, Picpoul de Pinet, Pic Saint Loup, Saint Chinian, including the value-oriented wines with IGP designation (Protected Geographical Indication) from the cool areas of Western Languedoc between Limoux and Carcassonne.
