This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking After gently sorting through the bounty of this year’s harvest, we fermented the wine at cool temperatures in stainless steel. Our winemakers stay vigilant throughout the wine’s journey to ensure we capture the pristine conditions Mother Nature gifted us this year. A modest touch of oak adds further depth and roundness, highlighting just enough structure without over-whelming crisp textures or fruit flavors. The final wine is balanced, layered and well-worthy of a spot in your cellar.
Vintage In the wake of 2019’s rainy winter, spring arrived slowly in Sonoma County. Thanks to months of moisture, vines awoke refreshed from their rest, taking advantage of rehydrated soils after years of drought. The summer was temperate and cool, speckled with short durations of high heat but nothing too extreme. These pleasant conditions rolled into late September, resulting in outstanding flavor development and balanced elements.
Pairing Logic This Chardonnay offers rich flavors and lively acidity, making it perfect for food-pairing. The best selections will interact with its textures and emphasize plump fruit notes. For protein-based dishes, choose juicy cuts of poultry meat with crispy skin and oils for the wine’s acidity to slice through. Salty seafood dishes will highlight fruit notes and the wine’s fuller body. This Chardonnay will pair with a wide range of cooked vegetables, especially when topped with creamy sauces and cheese.
