Traveling the road on an 1100cc American motorcycle with the engine’s low rumble and vibration under you, the wind in your face, and the feeling of power and acceleration in your grip—that’s how the 2018 Howell Mountain feels on the palate. With its low rumbling tannins, its depth of flavor, and its power-driven mouthfeel, you’ll be singing ‘Born to be Wild’ with each sip. This powerful Cabernet Sauvignon offers an ideal balance of acid and middle body weight.Blackberry, sourdough toast, crushed stone, and a little herb shine through in an intense depth of flavor.
Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain was aged in French oak barrels for 22 months, 97% new. Deep garnet-purple colored, it rolls effortlessly out of the glass with notes of warm cassis, black cherries, mulberries and plum preserves plus hints of dark chocolate, crushed rock and tree bark with a waft of truffles. The full-bodied palate is densely laden with earthy/savory black fruit layers and super firm, rugged tannins, delivering a tightly wound, lively finish. Give it a good 5 years in bottle and drink it over the next 20+ years.
