Farm to Bottle, Ayrshire to Glass
Lochlea Distillery sits on a working farm in the heart of Ayrshire — the same land that inspired Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet, who farmed nearby Mossgiel in the 18th century. Our Barley is the distillery's flagship expression and its most personal statement: a single malt made exclusively from barley grown on the Lochlea farm itself, tracing every drop back to the same fields where the distillery stands. This is farm-to-bottle whisky in its truest sense — a whisky of genuine provenance, honest craft, and deep connection to the land.
- Nose: Fresh and inviting — green apple, vanilla, and a gentle floral sweetness with soft cereal grain and a hint of light citrus
- Palate: Smooth and elegant — orchard fruit, toffee, and a gentle warming spice with a clean, grain-forward character that speaks directly to the Ayrshire farm
- Finish: Clean and medium-length with lingering barley sweetness, vanilla, and a warm, gentle fade
