Introduction:
Lobos 1707 Mezcal is a sophisticated agave spirit crafted with 100% Espadín agave, roasted in an open wood-fired Oaxacan horno and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It combines Mexican mezcal tradition with Spanish aging techniques to produce a flavorful and refined profile ideal for sipping or elevated cocktails.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich aromas of hickory smoke, black pepper, desert sage and toasted pine-nuts evoke a warm, rugged landscape.
Palate: A bold, layered experience with notes of young pineapple, roasted agave, creamy spice and subtle sherry-driven sweetness.
Finish: Long and savory with lingering char, toasted oak, and a crisp agave backbone that leaves a clean, smoky impression.
Pairings:
Serve neat or over a large ice cube to appreciate the depth and complexity. It also pairs beautifully with wood-fired meats, charcuterie boards, dark chocolate desserts, or aged cheeses — perfect for a contemplative evening or elevated gathering.
