Little Book X Cask Strength, also known as Little Book Chapter 10 “All the Wiser,” is a bold limited-release whiskey created by eighth-generation Beam family distiller Freddie Noe to mark the tenth chapter of the Little Book series. The blend brings together aged expressions from across the James B. Beam portfolio, including 14-year-old Basil Hayden, 11-year-old and 9-year-old Knob Creek, 10-year-old Booker’s, 9-year-old Baker’s, and 4-year-old Jim Beam finished in sherry and toasted bourbon casks. Bottled uncut and unfiltered at an intense 122.6 proof, it delivers remarkable concentration and depth.
The deep auburn whiskey opens with rich aromas of fig, raisin, and molasses before developing a velvety palate of caramel, cinnamon, seasoned oak, and dark fruit. The sherry and toasted-cask component adds further layers of dried fruit, roasted richness, and baking spice, while the powerful cask-strength presentation gives the whiskey a full, warming texture. Enjoy it neat or add a few drops of water to open the whisky and reveal additional layers of fruit, spice, and oak. As a milestone tenth release, Little Book X is an excellent choice for serious American whiskey enthusiasts, special occasions, gifting, or collectors seeking a distinctive limited-edition bottle.
