Liquid Treasures BAS 48 Year Old Armagnac is an incredibly rare and exquisite bottling of hyper-aged French brandy. Distilled in 1974 using a continuous still and matured in a single sherry puncheon for nearly half a century, this remarkable spirit offers an intense, highly developed profile. It boasts a deeply concentrated nose of ripe peaches, preserved apricots, honey, and raisins, layered with notes of panettone, licorice, and old oak cellar rancio. On the palate, dense waves of dried figs, dates, and dark cherries evolve into complex, dry, herbal notes of peppermint, tobacco leaves, and clove, finishing with a beautifully long, jammy, and gently spiced elegance.
Food Pairing: Rich duck confit or roast duck with a fig glaze, dark chocolate desserts, traditional panettone or fruitcake, toasted pecans, and aged hard cheeses like mature Gouda or Comté.
