At first glance, Leaf by Oscar Toro Maduro stands out with its distinctive presentation—each cigar is wrapped in a raw tobacco leaf instead of traditional cellophane. This unconventional packaging isn't just for looks; it helps preserve the cigar’s natural oils and promotes better aging by allowing the cigar to breathe, ensuring freshness from the moment it’s unwrapped.
Beneath the outer leaf, you’ll find a beautifully hand-rolled cigar crafted with Honduran fillers and binders, all encased in a dark, oily Maduro wrapper grown in Jalapa, Nicaragua. The tobaccos are carefully cured and aged to deliver a medium to full-bodied profile with rich flavors and a smooth draw.
Expect notes of earth, dark chocolate, coffee, and a touch of spice, with the profile evolving into more complexity during the final third before settling into a smooth finish. It’s a flavorful yet approachable cigar—ideal for both seasoned smokers and those exploring fuller-bodied blends.
