Originating from Italy in the Veneto region, specifically within the Prosecco DOC appellation, Lamarca Prosecco represents a quintessential, sparkling, and refreshing expression of Italian Glera. Produced by La Marca Trevigiana, a highly respected cooperative of growers in northeastern Italy founded in 1968, the brand has become a global standard for premium Prosecco. Sourced from sun-drenched vineyards across the rolling hills of Treviso, the winemaking philosophy focuses on gentle pressing of the grapes followed by a controlled secondary fermentation in stainless steel pressure tanks using the Charmat method. This process preserves the grape's delicate aromatic compounds, bright fruit acidity, and vibrant natural effervescence, creating a clean, crisp, and refreshing sparkling wine suitable for any celebration.
Wine Description
The wine presents a pale straw yellow colour with delicate greenish reflections and a fine, persistent stream of lively bubbles. An inviting, highly aromatic bouquet opens with fresh notes of green apple, white peach, and juicy Meyer lemon, interwoven with delicate nuances of white flowers, honey, and subtle citrus blossom. On the palate, it is light bodied, crisp, and lively, delivering refreshing flavours of crisp orchard fruit and lemon zest supported by a vibrant, mouthwatering core of natural acidity. Finishing clean, dry, and invigorating, it leaves a pleasant, lingering impression of sweet apple and subtle mineral freshness. Composed predominantly of Glera, it offers an exceptionally versatile, food-friendly, and uplifting sparkling wine profile with broad global appeal.
