Wine Description
In the glass, La Sophia exhibits a deep dark ruby-purple color with intense opacity. The expressive bouquet opens with classic Cabernet aromas of cassis, black cherry, and blackberry, layered with savory notes of dried sage, rosemary, cigar box tobacco, roasted coffee, and subtle vanilla spice from oak aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied, structured, and muscular, balancing dense dark fruit with a firm, chalky tannic backbone and vibrant natural acidity. Crafted as a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon varietal expression, the hand-selected grapes undergo small-lot fermentation followed by extended aging in French oak barrels (combining new and seasoned oak).
