La Celia Pioneer Malbec originates from Argentina, specifically the renowned Uco Valley in the Mendoza region. Founded in 1890, Finca La Celia is the oldest winery in the Uco Valley and holds the distinction of being the first to plant Malbec vines in the area after founder Eugenio Bustos famously traded his finest horse for French cuttings. The estate’s winemaking philosophy, led by winemaker Andrea Ferreyra, focuses on expressing the unique high-altitude terroir of the valley through a commitment to elegance and purity.
