Kornog Coteaux du Layon 700mL is a remarkable peated single malt whisky from Brittany’s famed Armorik Distillery. This limited expression matures in Coteaux du Layon wine casks, a style of luscious sweet white wine from France’s Loire Valley.
The combination of robust peat smoke and dessert-wine influence creates a beautifully layered profile. The nose opens with campfire smoke, ripe stone fruits, honey, and soft floral notes. On the palate, expect rich peat balanced by sweet apricot, golden raisins, vanilla, and gentle oak. The wine casks add depth and natural sweetness, leading to a long, warm, and smoky finish.
Crafted in small batches and known for its coastal character, Kornog Coteaux du Layon stands out as an exceptional whisky for collectors and fans of peated, wine-finished malts.
