Every shot leaves a little coffee oil behind in the brew unit. Left alone it goes rancid, and that bitterness ends up in the cup long before the machine ever complains. These genuine KitchenAid cleaning tablets run through your Fully Automatic Espresso Machine's automated cleaning cycle and strip that residue out of the brew group — the maintenance step that keeps a bean-to-cup machine tasting like it did on day one.
Why run a cleaning cycle
- Dissolves coffee oils and residue: Breaks down the buildup that collects in the brew unit and dispensing path, the most common cause of stale, bitter-tasting espresso from an otherwise healthy machine.
- Protects performance: A clean brew group moves freely and doses consistently, which keeps extraction even and reduces the wear that leads to service calls.
- Fully automated: Drop a tablet in when the machine prompts you and let it run its own cleaning programme — no disassembly, no scrubbing.
- Eight tablets per pack: KitchenAid recommends a cleaning cycle every 200 coffees, so a single pack covers roughly 1,600 drinks.
- Genuine KitchenAid formulation: Made in Switzerland and dosed for the KitchenAid brew unit — safer than generic tablets that can over- or under-dose the cycle.
