Switching beans on a machine with a fixed hopper means grinding the old ones out, shot by shot, before the new bag tastes like anything. A second removable hopper ends that: twist, lift, swap. Keep a decaf in one and your daily espresso blend in the other, or park a single origin mid-bag without losing it to staling.
Built for bean exploration
- Twist-and-lift removal: Comes off the grinder in one motion, so you can empty, exchange or refill without tipping the machine or scooping beans out by hand.
- 8 oz. capacity: Roughly 17 shots of espresso per fill, depending on bean, roast and your dose setting.
- Sealed lid: Keeps beans protected from air and light between sessions — the difference between a bag that lasts two weeks and one that dulls in four days.
- A spare worth owning: Running two hoppers means you never have to choose between finishing a bag and trying the next one.
Specifications
- Capacity: 8 oz. of whole beans
- Approximately 17 espresso shots per fill (varies by coffee type, roast and machine settings)
- Includes hopper and lid
Compatibility
Fits the KitchenAid Semi-Automatic Espresso Machine with built-in burr grinder — model KES6551, in all finishes (machine sold separately). For KitchenAid Fully Automatic machines (KF6, KF7, KF8), use the 9.5 oz. KESRBHF hopper instead.
