Crafted in Jalisco, Mexico, for Costco Wholesale, Kirkland Signature Tequila Reposado is a budget-friendly 100% Weber Blue Agave spirit focused on delivering rich flavor and consistency. Harvested from mature estate agave, the piñas are cooked in stainless steel autoclaves, shredded using roller mills, and double-distilled in stainless steel pot stills. The spirit is aged for up to 6 months in oak barrels, which introduces warm notes of vanilla, oak spice, and butterscotch while preserving a bright cooked agave foundation in a 1 Liter format.
Food Pairing: Grilled chicken fajitas, roasted pork carnitas, fish tacos with chipotle mayo, cheese quesadillas, guacamole with tortilla chips, or churros with caramel.
Tasting Notes: Warm golden straw in appearance with bright clarity, a smooth medium body, and slow, delicate tears.
Nose: Warm and inviting, opening with sweet caramelized cooked agave, light vanilla bean, and toasted oak, supported by subtle orange peel, honey, and gentle baking spices.
Palate: Smooth, rounded, and approachable on the palate, featuring sweet roasted agave nectar and soft butterscotch upfront before unfolding into layers of toasted oak tannins, gentle cinnamon, and subtle black pepper.
Finish: Medium-long, clean, and smooth with lingering notes of gentle oak spice, sweet vanilla, and a soft agave warmth.
Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn or Riedel Tequila glass, over a single large ice sphere, or as an elevated base for a Reposado Margarita, Paloma, or Mexican Mule.
