The celebrated Joya de Nicaragua brand was born out of the peril of 1960s Central America and survived to skyrocket to fame during the 1970s. In tribute to this lasting triumph, Joya de Nicaragua has bestowed upon the world a fiery rich, yet velvety smooth cigar for the more adventurous of enthusiasts, the Antano 1970.
The Antano 1970 Cigarillo is a tasty little stick that simply exudes a bold eagerness with its stout Nicaraguan Habano Criollo wrapper. A true Nicaraguan Puro, the Antano 1970 boasts a lively blend of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos that are bound by a toothy Nicaraguan binder. The resulting cigar is a frisky 50-60 minute smoke.
Tenacious earth, leather and pepper flavors will explode onto the palate right from the start, as other notes of wood and spice swirl along the intensely full-bodied smoke. A grand draw and even burn help to deliver brilliantly firm ash contrasting against the darkened wrapper leaf. Throw in a thick smoke with a muscular aroma and you have the ultimate richly voluptuous smoking experience.
The word “Antano” literally means “yesteryear” and is a perfect moniker for this luxurious line. Harkening back to Joya de Nicaragua’s roots, yet infusing a modern boldness into the mix, the Antano 1970 is a winning smoke for any aficionado who wants big flavor, big body and long-lasting pleasure.
