This vibrant and 'coastal' white wine originates from Canada, within the unique, cool-climate landscape of Nova Scotia. Produced by Jost Vineyards the pioneer of the local industry and Nova Scotia’s largest and longest-running winery, founded in 1983 on the Malagash Peninsula this bottling is an authentic champion of the province's signature white appellation. Officially established in 2012, "Tidal Bay" is a unique appellation defined not by a narrow geographic boundary, but by a strict, collective stylistic framework that captures Nova Scotia's maritime terroir. Operating under a winemaking philosophy focused on absolute crispness and terroir transparency, every vintage must pass an independent, blind tasting panel to earn the designation, ensuring it delivers the refreshing, sea-breeze identity native to the edge of the Atlantic.
Wine Description
The Jost Vineyards Tidal Bay presents a brilliant, pale straw-yellow appearance in the glass with light, youthful greenish highlights. Its sensory profile is wonderfully fresh, aromatic, and expressive, opening with a high-toned bouquet of crisp green apples, ripe pear, and lemon peel, beautifully layered with distinct undertones of golden kiwi, white peach, and wild mountain blossoms. On the palate, the wine is light-bodied, lively, and highly refreshing, showcasing a juicy core of stone fruits and bright citrus oils.
