Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Year Old is an iconic and highly regarded blended Scotch whisky, crafted using whiskies drawn from the four corners of Scotland. Aged for a minimum of 12 years, this masterful blend combines the lighter, sweeter whiskies of the east with the robust, peaty malts of the west. The result is a deep, complex, and incredibly well-balanced spirit that has set the benchmark for premium blends worldwide.
Food Pairing: The smoky and rich flavor profile of this whisky pairs wonderfully with hearty and savory dishes like slow-cooked BBQ pork, smoked brisket, or a rich charcuterie board. It is also exceptional alongside dark chocolate or roasted nuts.
Tasting Notes : Deep gold with rich amber highlights in appearance, offering a smooth, medium-bodied, and velvety mouthfeel.
Nose : Bold and aromatic, featuring heavy notes of sweet vanilla, dried fruit, and dark orange peel, beautifully balanced by underlying wood spice and gentle, fragrant peat smoke.
Palate : Complex, smooth, and layered. Rich flavors of sweet vanilla, creamy toffee, and dark fruit give way to warm winter baking spices, toasted oak, and a distinct wave of peat smoke.
Finish : Long, warm, and smooth, leaving a lingering impression of soft smoke, sweet malt, and gentle oak spice.
Serve : Serve neat in a Glencairn glass, over ice in a double rocks glass, or mixed with high-quality ginger ale or soda water in a tall highball glass with a fresh orange wedge.
