It’s designed to work well brewed in drip machines or coarsely ground for French press, offering a versatile everyday option without added sugar.
What tasting profile can I expect from Jamaican Me Crazy?
You’ll notice a warm, sweet-first impression followed by a rounded coffee body. The medium roast preserves bright coffee characteristics while the flavoring layers in caramel and vanilla, finishing with a subtle liqueur-like depth that enhances aroma.
- Primary notes: caramel and vanilla sweetness
- Supporting tone: rich coffee liqueur aroma for complexity
- Roast level: artisan medium—balanced acidity and body
- Texture: smooth cup with lingering flavored finish
How should I brew these whole beans to get the best cup?
Joffrey's recommends brewing methods that let the flavored notes shine without overpowering the bean character. For bright clarity, use a standard drip or pour-over; for a fuller, more indulgent extraction, try a French press with a coarse grind and extended steep time.
- Drip/pourover: medium grind, stable water temperature 195–205°F
- French press: coarse grind, 4-minute steep for richer body
- Grind just before brewing to preserve flavors and aroma
- Use filtered water and a 1:15–1:17 coffee-to-water ratio for balance
