This bespoke lighter case, created in collaboration with the celebrated Maison Jean Rousseau of Paris, is an exceptional example of artisanal French craftsmanship. Hand-stitched in 24-carat gold thread and crafted from green alligator suede, each piece embodies the same level of precision and luxury that defines the world’s finest watch straps—the very inspiration behind its strap design. Conceived from the bespoke Le Grand sling model originally commissioned for Kirby’s personal S.T. Dupont Le Grand lighter, this version brings that same level of refinement to collectors around the world.
Entirely handmade in Jean Rousseau’s Besançon atelier, each hide is individually selected and meticulously tanned to achieve a supple, velvety surface. Every panel is cut, skived, and assembled by hand, with the strap’s watch-inspired detailing reflecting the Maison’s seventy-year heritage in haute horlogerie leatherwork. The 24k gold stitching and hand-painted edges require hours of painstaking attention, resulting in a creation that unites rarity, craftsmanship, and elegance in perfect harmony.
Presented in a navy Jean Rousseau Paris box, this case is designed to fit both S.T. Dupont Le Grand and Line 2 lighters, with an adjustable strap that secures gracefully over the top—an heirloom accessory that perfectly marries Kirby Allison’s personal taste with the timeless artistry of Maison Jean Rousseau.
