This bespoke lighter case, created in collaboration with the renowned Maison Jean Rousseau of Paris, exemplifies the artistry and tradition that define the finest French leatherwork. Hand-stitched in 24-carat gold thread and crafted from genuine brown alligator suede, each piece captures the warmth and texture of this rare material. The strap design draws inspiration from Jean Rousseau’s heritage in haute horlogerie, evoking the look and feel of a bespoke watch band. Based on the original Le Grand sling model commissioned for Kirby’s personal S.T. Dupont Le Grand lighter, this design brings that same level of personalization and refinement to collectors worldwide.
Every case is made entirely by hand in Jean Rousseau’s Besançon atelier. Each hide is carefully selected and tanned to achieve its velvety matte finish, while every panel is cut, skived, and assembled by artisans trained in traditional horological techniques. The 24k gold hand stitching and meticulously painted edges require hours of careful work, producing a piece that reflects true rarity, craftsmanship, and elegance.
Presented in a navy Jean Rousseau Paris box, this case is designed to fit both S.T. Dupont Le Grand and Ligne 2 lighters, with an adjustable strap that secures gracefully over the top—a luxurious and enduring accessory that embodies the shared passion for craftsmanship between Kirby Allison and Maison Jean Rousseau.
