Jacob's Creek Double Barrel Chardonnay is a white wine produced by Jacob's Creek winery in South Australia. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that are carefully selected and harvested by hand.
The wine is aged using a unique "double barrel" technique, which involves maturing the wine in French oak barrels, and then finishing it in specially selected, toasted American oak barrels. This process imparts complex flavors and aromas to the wine, including notes of vanilla, caramel, and spice.
On the nose, there are notes of citrus and stone fruit aromas, with hints of toasted oak and vanilla. On the palate, it is a full-bodied wine with flavors of ripe peach, lemon, and honey, along with a subtle note of buttered toast. The wine has a creamy texture and a long, smooth finish. It pairs well with a variety of dishes, including seafood, grilled chicken, and creamy pasta dishes.
