Jack Daniel's Tennessee Fire takes the familiar Old No. 7 and gives it a warm cinnamon twist. Jack Daniel's blends its American whiskey with a cinnamon liqueur made just for this bottle. The result is sweet, spicy and very easy to drink. It is bottled at 70 proof, or 35% ABV.
Tennessee Fire rolled out across all 50 states in March 2015. It quickly became a go-to for parties and game nights. You have probably seen the bright red label behind plenty of bars.
The aroma is warm, with plenty of cinnamon. On the palate it is smooth and sweet. Red-hot cinnamon leads, and then the classic Jack Daniel's character shows up underneath. You may catch toasted wood and a little vanilla from the whiskey. The finish gives you a gentle cinnamon kick that warms you up.
The easiest way to enjoy it is as a chilled shot. Jack Daniel's also likes it next to a cold pint of hard cider. It mixes well with cola, ginger ale or apple juice for a simple highball. In the colder months, try a splash in hot apple cider.
Pair it with BBQ wings, spicy snacks or a square of dark chocolate. If you like cinnamon candy and sweet flavored whiskey, you will have fun with this bottle. Fans of dry, straight whiskey may find it on the sweet side.
